Itinerary

  • Arrive in Kathmandu welcome Dinner (1,340m/ 4,396ft)

    Today is an arrival day. If you have selected transfers with us you will be met at the airport by one of our local representatives who will be holding a sign with our logo and name. If you haven’t you need to meet us at the Kathmandu guesthouse. Check in is available from 3pm. You will have a briefing at 1700 with your local guide who will explain the coming days and then take you to our recommended restaurant for dinner.

  • Kathmandu-Drive to Ramechhap (2600m/ 8,532ft)

    Today is a travel day. You will be driving approximately 6-8hrs to Ramachhap airport through the Nepelse countryside. Once you have arrived you will have dinner and get an early night for your flight the following day.

  • Fly to Lukla, Trek to Phakding (2,600m/ 8,532ft)

    Today you will fly to Lukla. It’ll be an early start but worth it as you fly into the world famous airport. From here you will hike to Phakding where you will spend the night.

    Please note: Flights from Lukla can be delayed and cancelled due to the weather. Whilst we will always do our best to fly, (we have contingency days just for this) in some cases our only option may be via helicopter or jeep. In this case the cost will need to be covered by your travel insurance.

  • Trek to Namche bazaar (3,450m/11,319ft)

    From Phakding you will trek to Namche. The way to Namche is a steep one but well worth it when you reach the famous sherpa village, now modernised with coffee shops, bars and hairdressers! Make sure to check out the Sherpa Barista cafe and you may cross paths with some very famous climbers.

  • Acclimatize day hike up to Everest view point (3,450m/11,319ft)

    Today you will acclimatise by hiking up to the Everest view hotel. On the way down make sure to stop for a coffee at the Sagamatha next project

  • Trek to Portshe Via Mong-La (3,840m / 12,598ft)

    Today you will step up the altitude having acclimatised to it better and make your way to Portshe.

  • Trek to Dingboche (4,412m / 14475ft)

    You’ll make your way to Dingboche today. Sitting at 4400m this is where you’ll notice the decrease in temperature. Make sure to warm up at cafe 4410 and have a coffee with Kami.

  • Acclimatization Day hike to Nagarjun peak (5,070m / 16,633ft,

  • Trek to Lobuche (4,910m / 16,109ft)

    Today you’ll make your way to Loboche via the Thukla memorial. The memorial is there to remember all the climbers who have died on Everest and other Himalayan mountains. This is a very special day and you’ll feel how close you are to reaching the base camp.

  • Trek to Gorakshep (5,140m / 16,864ft) explore EBC (5,364m / 17,559ft)

    Today is the day! Hike to Gorek Shep for lunch before making your way to EBC. Return to Gorek Shep for a well deserved rest by the fire and an early night for those climbing Kallapathar in the morning.

  • Climb up to kalaphatar (5,545m / 18,193ft) trek down to Pheriche

    For those who are up for the challenge you’ll wake up early and climb Khalapathar for sunrise. This is where those iconic shots of the Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse range are taken from. Make your way back to Gorekshep for breakfast and then down to thicker air at Pheriche

  • Trek to Namche Bazaar, (3,450m/11,319ft)

    Back to Namche and a well deserved drink at the Irish bar! Don’t forget to sign the wall!

  • Trek Down to Lukla Final day, (2,800m / 9,187ft)

    One last big push today as you make your way back to Lukla and a hot shower. From here your journey through the heart of the Sagamattha national park will have come to an end. But the adventure isn’t quite over yet!

  • Morning flight to Ramechap Drive to Kathmandu (1,340m/ 4,396ft)

    You’ll fly back to Ramachapp today and then drive back to Kathamdu.
